I was given a silk and satin fabric book and I am seeing how many 9 x 9 squares I can get out of this. Adding lace and decorative stitches for interest.

I like creative blocks. Last night I stitched up all the random scraps left over from my wife's Heart appliques I made a bunch of 6 inch blocks out of them. The reason for the blocks is to practice machine quilting in diffident designs. They will end up as hot pads or little decorations when done.
